Emma Studd uses screen printing to explore the relationship between colour, shape and pattern. She makes one-off works of geometric art predominately on paper but also on wood. Emma is based at Spike Print Studio in Bristol.

Emma's current works investigate the versatility of the hexagon, which when multiplied and overlaid, varies in colour and opacity and presents infinite possibilities, morphing and disguises itself amongst other forms. She instinctively uses certain colours which harmonise and contrast together creating a sense of depth and balance between chaos and control. The use of neon and metallic colours feature heavily in her work. Geometry, movement, rhythm and illusion are the hallmarks of her intriguing prints.
