Anita Reynolds

Anita Reynolds is an intuitive and skilful mark maker whose landscapes often depict the frequently ignored aspect of place, particularly in and around Dartmoor where she lives and works. She is a tutor and mentor at the Newlyn School of Art where she runs a variety of courses and leads a team of tutors on the Year Long Professional Landscape Programme.

Anita begins her works outside, revisiting locations throughout the seasons and recording gestural and energetic marks that reflect her immersion in the landscape, before returning to her studio and using these drawings to inform her dynamic, semi-abstract monotypes. Various printmaking techniques and the innovative use of new and unusual materials fuels her constant need to experiment and create each series of impactful imagery.
