Sue Potter's printmaking is influenced by her background in graphic design and architecture. Her work explores the flat, graphic colour of the relief process, the depth and surface texture of intaglio printing, and the unusual process of blind embossing.

Sue's work explores relief and intaglio techniques, particularly the counterpoint between crisp colour and random surface granulation, the complexity of geometry and the playfulness of pattern and repetition. Her recent work explores the enigmatic surface textures of blind embossing, which she combines with cutting and folding to create an additional layer of texture.
